Unit Manager: Theatre

• Conform with Doctors' requirements/expectations, remaining within the scope of practice as well as being patients advocates
• Ensure the management of all related nursing services and activities in the unit, according to Intercare objectives, policies, and procedures
• Maintain effective discipline in accordance with Intercare’s Code of Conduct and disciplinary codes
• Ensure safe and correct use of all equipment
• Monthly monitoring of cost center expenditure against budget
• Maintain effective relationships with specialists, external bodies, and associations

REQUIREMENTS

• Proof of registration as a Registered Nurse with SANC
• Post basic qualification in Operating Theatre technique essential
• Relevant Management experience of at least 3 years
• At least 5 years experience in an Operating theatre
• Conflict handling & performance management skills
• Proficient in MS Office
