job description - Spare Parts Administrator

  • Responsible for general support and service delivery on spare parts for Direct Customer as well as ASP and Distributor support on Parts.
  • Engage with ASPs and distributors to optimize spare part available to support end user's needs
  • Spare Parts process management
  • Provide feedback and updates to Customers /Partners o Coordinate parts availability in general; internally and with external suppliers.
  • Support the warranty process with parts, but not be responsible for Warranty.
  • Liaise with the warehouse in ZA on parts availability and handling.
  • Liaise with the Spare Parts Team in Europe on parts availability.
  • Engage partners with quarterly review of their spare parts stock versus the local install base and generate adequate stock orders to complement lack of parts.
  • Identification of parts needed (with support from the technical teams i.e. Line Of Business managers and Technical Support teams)
  • Prepare spare parts quotes for Direct customers on all parts.
  • Prepare spare parts quotes for Distributors on APAC parts.
  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate by your line manager

What will make you successful?

  • Attributes - analytical; meticulous; good communicator and team-player
  • 3-5 Years' experience in similar role - Accurate Handling and Management of parts.
  • Fluent in English written & spoken & expressive.
  • Functional experience in spread sheets; reporting; quoting and planning.
  • Preferred background: Regional experience, understanding of distributor, service partners and data center users
  • Knowledge of data center facilities, electrical projects and precision cooling will be a plus.
