Accounts
 

• Capturing of bank transactions onto accounting system and performing bank reconciliations.
• Debtors’ management i.e., arrears notifications, follow ups, phone calls and providing a report to the Accounts manager.
• Creditors management i.e., preparing weekly payment schedules, salary, and wages payments (including bonuses and loans), and preparing monthly and quarterly payment schedules.
• Capturing of journal entries.
• Preparing municipal reconciliations.
• Petty cash schedules management.
• Preparing annual audit files documents for review.
• Uploading of approved budgets to the accounting system.
• Management of insurance claims settlements.
   

Administration
 

• CSOS quarterly update and registrations.
• CSOS annual returns submissions.
• Assistance with SARS registrations.
• Obtaining levy clearance documents from attorneys.
• Obtaining take on information of new clients.
• Maintaining Sync folders.
• Telephonic assistance with financial queries where applicable.
• Daily review of e-mail / correspondence /queries and attendance and resolution of same within 24-hours
   

Education/Skills
 

• Relevant tertiary qualification graduate (ideally finance or accounting)
• Experience in a Sectional Title bookkeeping/accounting environment (non-negotiable)
• Computer Literate: Microsoft outlook, excel, word, and accounting program Weconnectu (rental asset management system advantageous) and Xero
• Understanding Sectional Title Act, Income Tax Act and Vat Act
• Basic Accounting principles
