  • To provide support to the business through the development and maintenance of accurate information and the analysis of available information. To provide valuable insights for strategic decision making and accurate information for day-to-day operational management of the Guarantees Division.

Role Purpose    

  • Accurately control and process financial information, including financial reporting and analysis, that enables the interpretation of financial information and informs business processes and decision making.

Requirements    

  • A Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or Finance
  • Certificate in short-term Insurance (or working toward it)
  • At least 3 years working experience in a similar role

Duties & Responsibilities    

  • Improve and develop the underwriting and reporting system with the division
  • Manage the digitisation strategy for the division
  • Source information from various systems (automatic and manual) to model the business processes/workflows
  • Collect and convert static data into business intelligence information
  • Continuously analysing data, key indicators, relationships and trends
  • Develop new reports and standards based on the business requirements
  • Prepare customised reports based on business portfolio requirements
  • Develop performance reports of the business sales team for performance measurement
  • Develop regular risk reports for claims/risk management
  • Develop management reporting for monthly management meetings
  • Develop reporting for quarterly reinsurer meetings
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate reports and to eliminate duplicate and manual reporting
  • Ensure the accuracy of data within the business
  • Oversee and ensure correct information is uploaded onto the underwriting system by conducting integrity checks
  • Ongoing cleaning of data and data hygiene exercises
  • Ongoing testing of product processes, reports and calculations
  • Manage system logs with external providers
  • Educate teammates where required on the design or how to utilise the systems
  • Engage with teammates on an ongoing basis to understand management/portfolio information
  • Engage with internal and external service providers and stakeholders
  • Actively engage and participate in new initiatives within the business
