Job Specification
- Take overall accountability for the warehousing, logistics, domestic procurement function, stock management system of the business and branch management functions on a national basis
- Engage with the relevant departments and individuals in order to manage this portfolio in an active, business supportive and governance-oriented manner
- An active and constructive member of the management team
- Local procurement: annual budget and monthly purchase plan compilation by line item + daily purchase tracker vs budget
- Supplier engagement and negotiations: costs, terms, quality, logistics, MOQ, etc
- Consistent collaboration with sales team to ensure suitable stock mix, planning and visibility
- Monthly wall to wall stock take, daily cycle counts, annual audit stock take and requisite reporting
- Management reporting and strong execution capability re continuous improvement and solutions mindset
- ERP ownership: stock masterfile management, stock classification, adjustments, price uploads, etc
- Management of all logistics providers: selection, contract negotiation, costs, service levels, paperwork, matching to geographic capability and sales execution requirements
- Warehousing management: inbound/outbound, space optimization, security measures, SOPs, labour allocation, KPIs, reporting, health and safety, housekeeping, strong focus on team culture
- Accountable for slow moving stock identification and remedial plan execution
- Various administration and branch management functions: cash management of counter sales and petty cash, office management supplies, branch cleaning services, landlord management, outsourced Metrofile management, credit note management and engagement with Regional Sales Managers, etc
- Manage the warehousing team in a holistic fashion to ensure the relevant performance as well as cross coverage of function to permit a sustainable team environment

Requirements
- Tertiary qualification
- Must have previously been employed in an operations management role with direct and demonstrable warehousing and procurement experience
- Excellent computer literacy across all MS Office functions
- ERP experience
- Import and shipping experience beneficial
- Min of 5 years experience in a similar leadership role
