job description - Motion Designer

  • As a Motion Designer you will have a large focus on creating and maintaining eye-catching marketing material, generating and executing concepts and where necessary, providing support where needed to the wider design and creative team. You will be part of a team of talented creative designers of all experience levels.
  • You will be creating assets that range from digital to print. This will be within a multilingual environment where versatility is required, often with tight deadlines.

Duties Include, But Not Limited To

  • Create motion graphics, innovative digital designs and modifications as required.
  • Create marketing material for our Creative, Marketing departments which will include motion assets including, banners, motion hero’s, social content and LED work.
  • Follow principles of good design and ensure it is of the highest quality, focusing on attention to detail.
  • Maintain graphic and technical knowledge by attending design workshops and reviewing professional publications where possible taking a proactive approach to develop your knowledge and gain experience.
  • Have the ability to work within strict brand guidelines, as well as the ability to interpret said guidelines.
  • The ability to interpret stakeholder briefs, and communication thereof.

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent Typography/Layout skills
  • Extensive After Effects +2 years plus commercial experience in Motion Graphics.
  • The ability to work with (through collaboration and effective communication) remote teams.
  • The ability to provide time estimations on jobs that come into the system.
  • Good understanding of composition and lighting with regards to layout and photography, as well as having the ability to retouch templates etc.
  • Champion the voice of the customer through your work and understand the audiences you work with.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledgeable and comfortable working with brand guidelines and implementing them across channels.
  • Good knowledge of design processes and tools, for example, understanding and interpreting briefs. Using Digital Asset Management tools. Processes include, but are not limited to conceptualizing, brainstorming, presenting your ideas etc.
  • A solid design and digital understanding with the ability to deliver succinct and effective technical designs.
  • Possess strong design and conceptual skills, as well as creatively being able to collaborate with others including brainstorming sessions.
  • A good working knowledge of responsive design and mobile first practices
  • Highly skilled and experienced in using The Full Adobe Creative Cloud suite and other creative software.
  • Candidates without portfolios will not be considered.
