- Ensures that preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and construction are accomplished according to schedule by:
- Planning, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining Mechanical, equipment, appliances, fixtures, etc.
- Maintenance of Cookers, Dryers, Flaking mills, and toasting ovens
- Maintenance of utility equipment (Boilers, Compressors, Chillers, and Dust plant) experience
- Effluent plant maintenance
- Steam and condensate system experience.
- Conditional monitoring experience
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and systems by using the correct tools.
- Inspecting Mechanical systems and continuity of drawings, equipment, and fixtures, using relevant testing devices.
- Using correct tools.
- Identifies opportunities for equipment improvement.
- Develops and modifies planned maintenance tasks to ensure maximum equipment reliability
- Technical report writing of failures occurred, projects, and investigations.
- Ensure all assigned preventative maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform standby duties and attend odd hours breakdowns.
- Project planning, execution, and commissioning.
- Compiles / completes all relevant documentation, such as purchasing requisitions, job cards, drawings, and forms.
- Reports all breakdowns timeously.
- Analyses problems, provide relevant advice and suggests solutions based on engineering and factory information.
- Participates in CAPAs and Root cause analysis
- Orders spare by using SAP.
- Continuously performs repairs effectively, through physical observation of function upon completion.
- Coaches’ operators, apprentices, interns, and artisans.
- Maintains the ISO 9002 system related to calibration.
EDUCATION & RELEVANT YEARS JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE
- National Diploma or BTech or Trade Test (10 years experience) coupled with at least +5 years of FMCG working experience.
- Minimum 5+ years in a senior artisan leadership role for a team of artisans.
