job description - IT Site Support
- Support and management of local site infrastructure and to assist as directed to support other sites within the EMEA region.
Responsabilities:
- Identifies and initiates solutions to user problems and concerns associated with desktops, laptops, and workstations
- Accurately logs problems and their associated resolutions into the standardised support centre/help desk application
- Maintain infrastructure and information systems standards in a consistent way across their site(s) within scope of regional Site Support
- Ensure that the infrastructure budgets for the site for which they are responsible are controlled effectively
- Ensure that any issues related to Standards are reflected back to the owning group
- Ensure that Virus Protection and Patch Management is maintained across their site(s) (Global Support) Main
- Ensure that accurate documentation, asset management and software licensing is provided across their site(s).
- Support CIOS Data Prevention with development & testing of Disaster Recovery Plans
- Escalate to GIOS Enterprise Wintel Server group, any performance, hardware operational issues via Service Now (Global) (Main)
- Ensure the backup tapes are rotated to and from the library in accordance with schedules issued by Global Data Preservation Team. (Global) (Main)
- Ensure that Disaster Recovery plans are developed, tested, and maintained according to defined standards across their site(s)
- Ensure that Server performance is monitored and managed according to defined standards (Global) (Main)
- Ensure that backup tapes are completed correctly (Global) (Main)
- Work with other IS staff to ensure that Sarbanes-Oxley requirements are fully met at their site(s)
- Ensure Audits are coordinated by GIOS Infosec/IAM group and work with them and other IS staff to ensure that all internal/external audits are supported at their site(s).

- Assist with the planning, purchasing, and implementation of PC hardware and software in compliance with Tenneco IS standard policies and procedures
- Manage and maintain non-contract printers within their site(s)
- Ensure site server rooms are managed and maintained in accordance to company policies and standards
- Provides user with training and communications on IS policies, procedures and technology
- Assist with remote problem resolutions for off-site users as required
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and service level agreements are achieved to the best of their ability
- Assist Project Delivery Teams with Project rollout and onsite as required.
- Assist the Regional Site Support Leads to ensure a consistent approach is maintained
Experience:
- Desirable: 2-3 years experience with PC hardware, operating systems and office productivity
- Working knowledgein multiple architecture domains (technology, data, etc)
Education:
- Minimum/Essential: Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or other related field
