job description - Freelance SHEQ Tutor
- Deliver public training courses and in-house training solutions to the BSI standards of excellence, in order to develop knowledge and skills
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Ensure that value is added to customers and their business/organisation through the delivery of BSI training courses
- Inform customers of BSI services to their needs during training sessions
- Provide delegates with information on how the training - is aligned to the overall customer journey with BSI
- Continually enhance the reputation and perception of BSI through excellent delivery of training courses/solutions and day-to-day interactions with customers and other key stakeholders
- Provide feedback to support course development in line with the new course and existing product development process
- Provide assistance with the design of training solutions. (E.g. classroom, electronic, correspondence, mentoring, coaching)
- Maintain and enhance appropriate professional qualification status in relevant disciplines
- Proactively engage with peers and key stakeholders to ensure continual improvement, in line with the BSI standards of excellence for training delivery

- Can clearly outline to Clients why BSI is the preferred supplier,
- Able to articulate to Clients the value of the portfolio of BSI products and services
- Can qualify sales leads appropriately and pass on to relevant sales teams

- Able to interpret data and information about the Customer to solve problem, add value and exceed expectations
- Can be recognised by the Customer as an industry/sector or market expert and provides thought leadership/development in customer’s industry
- Able to demonstrate high quality and reliability in delivery
Operational Delivery
- Able to demonstrate high levels of organisational skills; ensuring all facilities, materials and equipment is to BSI standard of excellence
- Can proactively deal with issues through to resolution
- Able to communicate effectively with delegates at all levels in order to motive and engage and can interact with peers and stakeholders to achieve objectives
- Demonstrate the ability to make improvements to course content based on customer evaluation feedback and training needs analysis
- Can monitor training deliver to ensure compliance and BSI standards of excellence are met at all times
Candidate Specification
- Ability to coherently deliver training courses across the full spectrum of the delegate profile (boardroom to shop floor)
- Knowledge of individual learning styles and how to address these through the design and development of training courses through the use of accelerated learning techniques.
- Ability to design and develop training courses and materials to meet specific aims
- Proven administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage customer expectations
- Understanding of development processes, training needs analysis and training evaluation techniques
- QHSE and ISMS and BCM tutoring experienced is required
- Computer literate with strong abilities in Word, PowerPoint and Excel in particular.
- Where appropriate, qualified Lead Auditor in relevant disciplines.
- Extensive travel with country and sometimes abroad required as is the ability to spend nights away from home
- Full, clean driving licence
